| This large and magnificent wedding sheet is heavenly to sleep with! I know because I tried it out before offering it to you! Of the finest lightweight linen, drapey, cold, and billows all around you as it floats down. The spectacular center monogram embroidered with DES is filled with seed stitches,as well as flowers, leaves, and a bow at the bottom. The Irish crochet lace, an imitation of needle lace has raised work flower centers, and picots decorating the joining bridges. The lace seems to be mid 1800 machine lace. Oh, and there are the 3 rows of hand drawn hemstitching, as well as the bottom! The 4" of lace go across the top and along the 28" turn down! Plus there's the almost 2" of lace insertion. I found this sheet with many storage stains, though now after tender loving care it is white and free of stains, there are several tiny holes in the linen, shown in photos, as well as breaks in the lace, as a result of being stored I think, as it seems to have hardly been used. Tiny stitches can remedy this! It measures 86" wide plus 4" of lace on the 28" turn down X 127" long. the monogram is 6 1/2" X 7". Guarantees a night fit for royalty! I have a similar bolster cover with Irish Lace that I am preparing. thank you for visiting! | ||
