I just adore the handwork on this lovely handkerchief case!The stitches are so teeny I had to check them out with a jewelers loop! The silk has a pattern of tiny dots. It seems to be lightly padded, and closes with a shell button. In excellent condition as found in Belgium! 7" X 6.5" What a treasure for yourself or someone special

Though well used, this is a fabulous hanky case embellished with hand embroidered(society silk?) floral designs.There are perfect little french knot centers. I believe the fabric is called silk faille, and it covers a padded cotton or some natural fiber. The black fabric has quite a few breaks in the fabric, I didn't even notice them, but I'm sure should last another 100 yrs.! The inside fabric is worn through on several edges. This wonderful cape is hand tailored of the softest winter white"baby wool" and fully lined in satin ! You could probably even wear it in reverse,however there is a water stain in the lining. The tiny stitches are incredible and the hand stiched buttonholes are perfect!.There is a small pink stain on the collar and mid front shown in photos 2 and 5. Do you recognize your pooch on this delightful scarf? There are such wonderful depictions of many breeds.I love the border of collars and leashes too! Fluid silk with machine hemmed edges on all 4 sides.Excellent condition, freshly laundered,some slight pale staining near the center from wear,I did not try to get it out as it really doesn't detract!
