This stunning piece might have been regilded at some time, as there are few small areas which seem to have been retouched, however the patina is fabulous! It's carved of wood then gessoed and gilded except in the carved crevices, which give it such depth! Very substantial for displaying any treasure you might wish. Approximately 9" tall,8" deep 8 1/2" wide. Weighs approx. 2 lbs. The 2 hangers are recent (one is marked Made in Germany)...

Handsome pair of half round turned and fluted mahogany wall brackets, with great patina! This pair is carved of two seperate pieces of solid mahogany I love that they even have a little lip to the shelf round. Wall brackets add such great design when paired with paintings.
