This exceptional vintage hand hooked pillow proclaims "Good Hunting!" in German,"Waidmanns Heil!". The handwork is amazing! It is one of 2 companion pillows that I recently found in Switzerland, obviously made by the same artist. The colors are still so vibrant! There are few small areas of damage mainly seen on the letters a and n,and a bit of wear on the vintage black cotton velvet under the doe's mouth, and top center. But over all, its in beautiful vintage condition...

Exceptional hand coloring on this brilliant copper engraving by Pierre-Quentin Chedel, a noted French engraver of architecture, landscape and views. I believe it is from Prevost's , Histoire Generale des Voyages, a most influential travel book in mid 1700. Titled Nouveau Mexico, it is of a bird's eye view of Mexico City, after the Spanish Conquest, showing the results of Spanish drainage and waterworks projects...

A dramatic french bronze lion rares up on green marble bases of this pair of original art deco book ends! Excellent patina! They are poised on heavy green marble weighing about 4 lbs. each! Perfect condition but for an old repaired crack in the base shown in the third photo and what might be a crack along a vein. however,does not compromise the sturdiness or desire! NOTHING takes away from this stunning set! The old felt on the bottoms seem to be original...

This handmade piece enhances the laundering experience, don't you think? Because of its size, I imagine this one was used for her delicates.The scalloped bottom and Wasche (Swiss-German) for Clean, as well as the eyelet holes at the top, are hand embroidered in my favorite Swiss blue floss. The lace insertions are 3" deep.Pockets for the draw string on each side, however I've left it as found with the braid and draw string. Fabulous heavy creamy linen,most likely hand loomed...

Completely hand woven with hand carved splines, this basket would make quite an addition to your collection! So unique to display and sturdy enough to even use for collecting flowers, silverware, napkins...just anything you choose! The photos have a glare that shows sort of a whitish wash that is not really in person. The wood(pine?) has wonderful patina . I hope you can see the peg joinery at the handle as well as the bottom...

The beautiful hand embroidered design in champagne colored silk and linen floss on med.heavy weight green linen is so unique! I just wish I could perfectly describe and photograph the green color for you! It's a color between acid green and split peas...the best green is in the first photo,but the embroidery shows up white...

As a painter with a passion for cooking also myself, I was charmed by this very yummy composition, most likely by a talented "Sunday Painter". It is American oil on canvas board and seems to be in a very good original frame with few nicks, and old worm holes on the bottom of the frame. Signed right bottom. @0" X 16"framed, approx. 16 X 11. I'm guessing at the age...1930-1950. I have it hanging in my dining room and trying not to get too attached!...
