This French cami is absolutely breathtaking!
It is completely made by hand.
The condition is wonderful for it's age.
It fastens in the back with 3 tiny Mother of Pearl buttons, with little loops that might eventually need replacing as they are rather fragile. The satin straps are 1" wide.
It measures approx. 35" across the lace at the top...

This exceptional vintage hand hooked pillow proclaims "Good Hunting!" in German,"Waidmanns Heil!". The handwork is amazing! It is one of 2 companion pillows that I recently found in Switzerland, obviously made by the same artist. The colors are still so vibrant! There are few small areas of damage mainly seen on the letters a and n,and a bit of wear on the vintage black cotton velvet under the doe's mouth, and top center. But over all, its in beautiful vintage condition...

This luxurious linen sheet was most likely created by a bride, who hand embroidered it with her initials with room for the initial of her intended! The heavily padded embroidery and design is excellent! I purchased from a French dealer, however I think it might be Italian. The drawn work is fabulous with intricate needle woven X in Squares every 10 ". The 5" deep lace was hand made to turn the corners all around the 34" turn down. It measures 91" X 114"...

Fine, almost handkerchief weight linen, with cutwork and incredibly exact hand embroidered designs on this antique piece, most likely created by a young girl for her trousseau. It was meant to keep and protect her handkerchiefs, gloves, or perhaps lace collars or veils. Of course, it could be made into a charming boudoir pillow! The exquisitely crafted basket signifying abundance for the marriage. (Always welcome!) The 3" oval of stylized flowers might have been intended for monograms...

Ethereal linen lawn handkerchief has 1 1/2" embroidered net lace with butterflies and sprigs of flowers all around. The lace edging was made for it, not pieced together! Perfect for bridal use as well as the butterfly aficionado! I found this unused in Switzerland, but have just laundered it! Oops, I think the close up 3rd photo is of the back side! Will try to redo soon...

Perfect for the Emily or "Em" in your life! This medium weight sheet 67" X 92" has 3 1/2" of Cluny lace across the top turndown. The monogram and vining flowers are heavily padded in the French Rembourre' style, though it was done by the older machine embroidery. I truly consider this a piece for collectors, as pieces made at home were used until they were just "worn out"! This piece seems never used, but carefully stored wrapped in a piece of homespun linen.
From the time when fabrics were made from home-produced yarn, which meant starting from scratch by raising flax for linen or sheep for wool. Then most likely spun by a "spinster",um...that would be the unmarried family member" and probably dyed with natural vegetable or plants! And then it would ...
