The work in this piece is so fabulous! In the style of antique embroidered painting, the roses are just perfectly executed by hand, in the finest petit point stitches. In addition ,there is the hand made lace surrounding it. It is in excellent condition for its age and would be so delightful for your tea, dresser top, framed or even made into a pillow! The faintest of storage stains are barely visible in photo...

Delightful for serving, rolls, biscuits, scones, or whatever you choose! I found this one in Switzerland in perfect condition. However I have washed and ironed it, so now it is ready for it's next tea or dinner party! The 3 layers of cotton are scalloped in French blue with embroidered accents on the 2nd layer. When the center cord is drawn and tied, pockets for 12 rolls or sweets are created. And you might add a jar of jam, honey, or clotted creme in the center! It measures approx...

This extra long table runner is absolutely fabulous! A true work of art and labor of love, handmade by some young lady possibly for her trousseau. The inserts at each end have stylized oak leaves and floral shapes. The natural color ecru linen has perfect needleworked drawnwork forming tiny little snowflakes where it crosses at each end. It is edged all around with crocheted lace in petite fan shapes...

One side of this lovely large hand made tea cozy depicts a stunning winged griffin which typically is viewed as a guardian of sacred places...Well, if your tea ritual is sacred to you, then here's your guardian! Even the opposite side is of light to medium weight pale pink linen , enhanced with button hole embroidered cut work in a design of ribbon tied bouquet! So unusual and truly fabulous. Now laundered (I need to press it again, as I photoed while still damp)...

Wonderful small pillow sham, is completely made with hand stitching, needle lace, embroidery and what appears to be highly collectible Bedfordshire lace. The lace has the significant design with tiny picots in the bridges of the continuous bobbin lace, however I'm still researching it...as always. This 19th c. petite pillow is completely made by hand...every stitch! It encompasses some of the finest hand work in one piece...

I found this most unusual towel in Italy, in perfect never used condition. I was the first to launder it! The design might be considered Art Deco, considering the zig zags, diamond and triangular shapes of the embroidery, drawn work, and needle lace...

This is an absolutely delightful example of "society silk" embroidery in Kensington stitch which uses layers, directionality and very fine gradations of colors and shades to create classic botanical realism. The design and handwork are excellent! Each flower is so unique. There is a silk cross stitched background pattern in white and champagne as well as a golden colored border on the 2 1/2" flanged hem edge...

Ethereal linen lawn handkerchief has 1 1/2" embroidered net lace with butterflies and sprigs of flowers all around. The lace edging was made for it, not pieced together! Perfect for bridal use as well as the butterfly aficionado! I found this unused in Switzerland, but have just laundered it! Oops, I think the close up 3rd photo is of the back side! Will try to redo soon...

This French cami is absolutely breathtaking! It is completely made by hand. The condition is wonderful for it's age. It fastens in the back with 3 tiny Mother of Pearl buttons, with little loops that might eventually need replacing as they are rather fragile. The satin straps are 1" wide. It measures approx. 35" across the lace at the top. I think it would fit small to medium size as it is gathered and can accommodate different bust sizes. Just finished photos and wanted to get it listed. ...

This exceptional vintage hand hooked pillow proclaims "Good Hunting!" in German,"Waidmanns Heil!". The handwork is amazing! It is one of 2 companion pillows that I recently found in Switzerland, obviously made by the same artist. The colors are still so vibrant! There are few small areas of damage mainly seen on the letters a and n,and a bit of wear on the vintage black cotton velvet under the doe's mouth, and top center. But over all, its in beautiful vintage condition. Of course the buck and d...

A work of art! Expertly hooked by hand, this delightful pillow with a squirrel on a pine branch is a perfect accent for your cabin, cottage and fall and winter decor! Notice he is enjoying a nut or piece of pine cone, seen in his paw! It is one of 2 companion pillows that I recently discovered in Switzerland. It is tightly hooked in still vibrant colors on vintage cotton velvet with shirred black satin edges and solid black satin backing. It feels to be very heavily stuffed with feathers, weighi...

This luxurious linen sheet was most likely created by a bride, who hand embroidered it with her initials with room for the initial of her intended! The heavily padded embroidery and design is excellent! I purchased from a French dealer, however I think it might be Italian. The drawn work is fabulous with intricate needle woven X in Squares every 10 ". The 5" deep lace was hand made to turn the corners all around the 34" turn down. It measures 91" X 114". It does not appear to have been used much...

Fine, almost handkerchief weight linen, with cutwork and incredibly exact hand embroidered designs on this antique piece, most likely created by a young girl for her trousseau. It was meant to keep and protect her handkerchiefs, gloves, or perhaps lace collars or veils. Of course, it could be made into a charming boudoir pillow! The exquisitely crafted basket signifying abundance for the marriage. (Always welcome!) The 3" oval of stylized flowers might have been intended for monograms. The ribbon...
