It was never used,found with a storage stain and I've freshly washed and ironed it.The opposite end is drawn and hemstitched and the sides are machine hemmed. I believe this is a Chinese hand work from the 70's. Newer linen( certainly not fine antique), however it is a lovely piece to use and quite impressive. Measures 42"x 28 1/2".

Under a magnifier, the brides have a fuzziness not seen in hand made lace. Lace of this type has become quite collectible, and especially hard to find large pieces made almost exclusively with it. I purchased it as is, washed, with ever so faint storage stains on the folds, which will disappear on next laundering. The embroidery still has the faint blue coloring from the embroidery pattern marks. It's very white, however some photos are darkened for detail. Measures 73" X 108" circa 1940
