I just love this handsome pet portrait! Perhaps it was painted by it's owner. He is most regal, don't you think. There are very faint markings on the back of the panel that look like that back side might have been a board intended for paint by number,however I think the artist used the example to do her own rendition of the boxer. As a painter with a passion for cooking also myself, I was charmed by this very yummy composition, most likely by a talented "Sunday Painter". It is American oil on canvas board and seems to be in a very good original frame with few nicks, and old worm holes on the bottom of the frame. Signed right bottom. @0" X 16"framed, approx. 16 X 11. I'm guessing at the age...1930-1950. I have it hanging in my dining room and trying not to get too attached!

Signed FT Sewell 1904, this pair of Cornish Indians with hand painted colors is wonderful! They seem to have been from a poultry or bird book,with some description on the reverse side. Exotic poultry is always quite desirable, and this pair shows handsomely in their vintage frames with hanging rings on top. The mats appear to be amatuer. I just discovered some fun information about these rare birds but want to make sure it's true!
