I found this unique antique frame in a Brussels antique fair and knew it would be stunning hanging in a collection of frames or with a mirror. The finish is most likely a replica of the original. It has repaired crack and some loss of plaster in the inside beading, shown at the top left in the photo. I've included a photo of the back which also shows the original hanger.Measures 23 1/2" X 20".

Hand carved oak leaves and acorns are quite desirable designs on this Swiss lindenwood book slide. Folding bookslides were favored by victorians for traveling. 12 1/2" X 5 1/4". When fully extended 18 1/4". The end panels are 6" tall. There has been glue repair on one end panel(seen in last photo of backside as it hardly shows on front side). What a chic way to recycle organic, AND add to your collection of treasures!

Beautifully carved wooden wallbox, perhaps for candles.It has a wonderful patina and looks like a warm rich leather!I found this in Switzerland and it might be attributed to Brienz, the real source of what is considered Black Forest carvings. It has 2 marks near the front center which almost look like burns, but doesn't detract from it at all. Quite an addition to any wall in your castle!!! I couldn't resist this precious European "Post Box"w/brass escutcheon and slot for your name or address…And it's own little key! The wood has beautiful patina and one side has little wormwood holes(but they've left the scene long ago)and the glass window is intact.Just looking at it takes me back to a gentler time ,when we looked forward to our mail !!
