This early 1900's, has the older more subtle coloration with the impressed mark St Clement France and their number 7516. The detail in the feathers, as well as over all is fabulous. I love the way the tail feathers turn up to create the handle and the beak forms the pouring spout! A most desirable and collectible piece for display as well as use...especially for the rooster collector and Oh! so French! 13" tall. There is a slight abrasion or sliver of a chip on the top beak left side, i ...click for details

The artistic detail with raised hand painting gives this rare plate such dimension. The deep cobalt edging is heavily gilded with such a unique shape! The sturgeon is surrounded by more fish, sea shell, and oyster. It has double markings (more valuable) for Haviland Limoges dating it 1876 to 1889. Excellent condition. Measures 8" sq. A stunning addition for your collection!

This plate's center scene is an image of a favorite French Resort in Switzerland in the mid 1800's according to my research. I can't find any info that it still exists, but photos from the 1860's by Eastman. Must have been quite a desirable place to retreat for the French! Beautiful transferware and seems to be quite historical! I can't make out the mark on the back ,but it does have 3 stilt marks. I'm guessing late 1800's to early 1900's.Perfect but for a few scr ...click for details
