This incredible box , most likely from late 1700's is hand painted and hand crafted with pegs! The colors in places are vibrant and in worn areas muted. Considered a social status for the bride, in which she stored treasures for her wedding, A real treasure for collectors! As I'm crazy for boxes of any kind, especially handcrafted, I just couldn't resist this one. The crossed inserts, creating compartments are not original , but not offensive! I've seen these priced well over $10 ...click for details

Yummy deep scalloped lace enhances this supple, cool and drapey fine linen Italian sheet. Yep, I did try it out for a night before offering it to you! It sleeps heavenly, as only fine antique linen offers! After studying the lace, it most compares with a photo and description of 17th Century Genovese Bobbin Lace, in the style of Punto in Aria needle lace. The scalloped lace measures 4" deep and was fashioned to turn the corner instead of gathering up! The center cutwork and embroidered meda ...click for details

I just adore the handwork on this lovely handkerchief case! The 3rd photo shows a enlarged closeup, trying to show the beautiful stitching, however the photo just doesn't do it justice! The stitches are so teeny I had to check them out with a jewelers loop! A beautiful, colorful bouquet surrounded by a ring of the same! The silk has a pattern of tiny dots. It seems to be lightly padded, and closes with a shell button. In excellent condition as found in Belgium! 7" X 6.5" What a treas ...click for details

I couldn't resist this unusual majolica server, even though it has some wear. The glaze is so rich, and has almost irridescent look when the light catches it. How clever the curled, reeded stem forms the handle! It is deep green, the different colorations in photos are only reflections due to the deep glaze. In fact I left the dust on it to reduce the glare. Each leaf tip has a teeny chip, but it is underneath and doesn't show unless you turn it over, as shown in photo. There is one chip ...click for details
